Lee's background has always been customer facing. After spending his early years working abroad in Ibiza and Austria he opened a children's party business before working in hospitality and catering. His dream role as a weddings manager arose nine years ago and he couldn’t turn it down. Lee focuses on each and every couple that walk through the door at The Engine Shed, Wetherby and ensures each couple's wedding is exactly as they would want it to be.
CLARE
OPERATIONS MANAGER
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Clare joined The Engine Shed, Wetherby over 12 years ago and is from a corporate event management and marketing background. She looks after all the parties and special events at the venue and is also the Operations Manager where she is responsible for the day to day smooth running of the venue. When not at work she enjoys travelling, reading and trying different flavoured gin and tonics.

DUTY MANAGER
DUTY MANAGER
After finishing her English Literature Degree Jen worked at Teesside University for 8 years running a multitude of special events but her passion lies in weddings, which is why she is the perfect fit for us! She joined The Engine Shed, Wetherby wedding team in 2021 as a Duty Manager and has been a fantastic and invaluable addition to the team with her comical Teesside humour.
DAVE
HEAD CHEF
HEAD CHEF
Dave has many years of experience across all aspects of catering including fine dining, corporate functions and weddings. Dave has a real passion for food. He joined the team in 2021 after working at a range of hotels and universities whilst taking on the role of head chef within these businesses. Dave has a vast knowledge of various cuisines and his flexibility as a chef has elevated our food offerings and he has been nominated as a finalist twice in The North of England Wedding Awards.

BAR MANAGER
BAR MANAGER
Our brilliant Bar Manager has over 11 years in hospitality and loves working all the events from weddings to special birthday parties but especially enjoys the maximum capacity events (452 people!). We believe she likes the busier events because after working on a farm from the age of 13 she likes herding customers around the venue and keeping them under control!

BAR SUPERVISOR
BAR SUPERVISOR
Also known as "Supergran" and an integral part of The Engine Shed, Wetherby Team Jan has worked here the longest - 30 years! She started on the bar and worked her way up to Senior Bar Supervisor and is responsible for the exceptionally high quality cleaning of the venue.
